Volcanic Stone Spa

Honestly, there's something almost magical about what happens when you combine ancient volcanic energy with the kind of peace you can only find up here in the mountains. We've built our wellness sanctuary around obsidian and basalt stones that've been sitting in the earth for thousands of years, and yeah, you can actually feel the difference.

Spa Treatment Room

The Philosophy Behind It All

Look, we're not gonna pretend to be some ancient wisdom keepers or whatever. What we do know is that volcanic stones hold heat differently than anything else, and when you pair that with skilled hands and the right environment, your body just... lets go. That tension you've been carrying around for months? It melts away.

Our therapists aren't just following a script. They've studied everything from traditional hot stone techniques to modern myofascial work, and they'll actually listen when you tell them where it hurts. Plus, being surrounded by mountains and fresh air doesn't hurt either.

Treatment Menu

This is our pride and joy, honestly. We use heated obsidian and basalt stones along your spine and muscle groups, and the heat penetrates so deep you'll wonder why you ever settled for a regular massage. The stones hold their warmth for ages, working out knots you didn't even know existed. We finish with a cool jade stone facial that brings you back to earth gently.

Perfect for: Chronic tension, stress relief, anyone who's been hiking or skiing all day

Not for the faint of heart, but if you've got serious muscle issues, this is what you need. We combine traditional deep tissue work with the penetrating heat of volcanic stones to get into those stubborn problem areas. Yeah, it might be a bit intense at times, but you'll walk out feeling like a new person.

Perfect for: Athletes, chronic pain sufferers, anyone with serious knots

Sometimes you just need to escape for an hour, y'know? We blend locally-sourced cedar, pine, and wildflower oils with gentle massage techniques that'll put you in a meditative state. The warm stones are present but subtle here - more about creating an experience than working out specific issues.

Perfect for: Stress relief, mental clarity, first-time spa visitors

This one's wild. We alternate between heated volcanic stones and chilled glacial marble to wake up your circulation and give your muscles a serious reset. The contrast therapy has been used by Nordic cultures forever, and combining it with massage just amplifies everything. Fair warning: it's intense but addictive.

Perfect for: Inflammation, recovery, boosting circulation

Our private couples suite overlooks the mountains, and honestly, it's pretty romantic. You'll both get the full volcanic stone treatment side by side, with synchronized techniques when possible. We include a private mineral bath session afterward and some champagne if you're into that. It's become our most popular anniversary package.

Perfect for: Anniversaries, romantic getaways, reconnecting

Who knew cool jade stones could do so much for your face? We use them to reduce puffiness, boost circulation, and just generally make your skin happy. Combined with organic botanical serums sourced from BC, this treatment leaves you glowing. Not gonna lie, our therapists use these techniques on themselves all the time.

Perfect for: Skin rejuvenation, reducing fine lines, pre-event prep

Meet Our Therapists

Sarah Chen
Sarah Chen

Senior Massage Therapist

Sarah's been with us since we opened, and honestly, she's the reason half our regulars come back. Trained in traditional Chinese massage and hot stone therapy, she's got this intuitive sense of where your body's holding tension. Outside the spa, she's usually hiking or practicing tai chi at sunrise.

Marcus Reid
Marcus Reid

Deep Tissue Specialist

Marcus is the guy you want if you've got real problems. Former sports therapist who worked with Olympic athletes before moving up here for the lifestyle. His deep tissue work can be intense, but he's great at reading your limits. Super laid-back personality though - you'd never guess he could apply that much pressure.

Elena Kowalski
Elena Kowalski

Aromatherapy & Wellness

Elena brings this incredible knowledge of botanical medicine and essential oils - she actually blends some of our custom aromatherapy oils herself. Her treatments are gentler but deeply therapeutic, perfect if you're dealing with stress or anxiety. She's also certified in prenatal massage if that's relevant for you.

Thomas Whitebear
Thomas Whitebear

Traditional Healing Arts

Thomas incorporates indigenous healing practices from the Squamish Nation into his work, which adds this whole other dimension to the treatments. He's taught us all about the spiritual connection to these volcanic stones and the land. His sessions feel less like a spa treatment and more like a genuine healing experience.

The Facilities

Beyond the treatment rooms, we've created spaces where you can just... be.

Mineral Soaking Pools

Two heated pools with different mineral compositions. One's got magnesium and sulfur for sore muscles, the other's more about detox with volcanic ash minerals. Both overlook the valley.

Steam & Sauna Rooms

Traditional Finnish sauna with volcanic stone heaters (of course), plus a eucalyptus-infused steam room that'll clear out your sinuses like nothing else. Alternate between them for the full Nordic spa experience.

Cold Plunge Pool

Yeah, it's cold. Like, really cold. But if you can handle 30 seconds in there after the sauna, your body will thank you. The endorphin rush is real, and it's become a bit of a ritual for our regulars.

Outdoor Relaxation Terrace

Heated loungers, mountain views, and blankets if it's chilly. Grab some herbal tea from the station and just zone out for as long as you want. Some people spend hours out here.
